Choose a plant from the search suggestions. You are looking for the hidden species in the puzzle.
Read the shared branches
Look at the family-tree branch revealed by your guess. It shows the ancestry your guess shares with the answer and helps identify which groups still contain possible answers.
Narrow the search
Choose another species within the promising branch. Compare the clues from your guesses and keep narrowing until you identify the answer or use the available guesses.
Tips and further reading
The clues describe evolutionary relationships, not which species looks most similar. Try comparing guesses from different groups when you are unsure which branch to explore.
